Primary Schools

McKevitt Architects are currently working on four different primary school projects, located north & south of the banks of the river Boyne, from the parish of Mell in Drogheda to Yellow Furze & Kilmessan on the plains of Co. Meath. The projects are typically two & three classroom extensions with ancillary accommodation. They currently range in stages from initial design through planning permission, tendering, and commencing on site. Some of the schools are returning clients for whom the practice previously delivered successful projects. Design solutions include the utilization and remodelling of parts of the existing school buildings in addition to the creation of new additional floor area. McKevitt Architects have a long tradition in educational buildings and have worked closely with the DES (Department of Education & Skills) design standards for decades.
