The Village Hotel

The Village Hotel in Bettystown is reborn. A well-known and popular destination in its previous life the hotel had lain dormant in recent years until Taaffe Egan Developments breathed new life into the property. The hotel has been substantially remodelled and refurbished to create a venue for weddings and functions, as well as provide a go-to gastropub for the locale. The renovation includes the addition of new bedrooms, a trendy gastropub, and a large function room which opens out onto a landscaped garden to the rear.

McKevitt Architects are proud to have collaborated with Taaffe Egan Developments to rethink the former building and help produce the redesigned layout which forms the basis of the exciting new transformation. We handled all statutory applications: Planning, Fire Safety, and Disability Access. In conjunction with Doherty Finegan Kelly Consulting Engineers we oversaw compliance with all statutory obligations: Building Regulations, Building Control Regulations, and Health & Safety law.

Some interiors were designed by Ventura Design (interior designers) creating contemporary and inviting spaces. Trevor Byrne from our office was the lead technical advisor. We wish our clients long and continued success, and we look forward to some enjoyable evenings in the bar! For more information on the Village Hotel visit their website here.
