Sitting on top of the dunes this beach house looks out over Laytown beach and the Irish Sea. With hints of Frank Lloyd Wright the design subtly ties the house to the site with low pitch roofs and deep overhangs. The use of materials such a sandstone and cedar further blend the building into the seaside context. The ground floor rooms enjoy lofty ceiling height and large windows to the rear and east which opens up to the morning light and views. The centre space opens up onto the beachside terrace through large sliding doors.
