GOVERNMENT INTRODUCE NEW TOWN CENTRE FIRST POLICY

On Friday 4th February 2022 the government issued a new policy which is set to revitalise and reinvigorate our town centres. Recently Irish towns have suffered vacancy, dereliction and decay which have led to other economic and social issues. The premise for this policy is to ‘breathe new life into our town centres’. The RIAI was a member of the stakeholder advisory group. We are excited and encouraged by its implementation and look forward to working with and supporting the Drogheda community to establish and prepare a vision for how Drogheda and the northeast can become a more attractive and welcoming place to live, work and visit.
